University of California researchers studied 5,500 women who were asked to wear a movement tracking gadget for a week.
The results showed that the risk of death from a heart attack or stroke was reduced by almost two-thirds among women who got at least four hours of exercise per day.
Daily movement refers to routine activities including cooking, housework, gardening and even bathing.
A new study in the Journal of the American Heart Association suggests that if the household mentioned above activities are reduced even further, older women can maintain good health, allowing them to live longer. The possibilities increase.
