Vitamin D and Omega-3 are effective in preventing arthritis

Vitamin D has been called the magic vitamin and it is now known that vitamin D supplements and omega-3 fatty acids can greatly prevent autoimmune diseases.

These include arthritis, joint pain, thyroid disorders, and other ailments.

According to Brigham and Women's Hospital, using these two supplements can reduce the risk of arthritis and joint pain by up to 22 percent.

This is the first direct evidence of the positive effects of vitamin D on the elderly. The survey has been named the 'Large Scale Vitamin D and Omega Trial' (VITAL).

The study involved thousands of women and men over the age of 55 who were given vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acid tablets or supplements for five years.

But experts said that only after two years its positive effects started to emerge. By this, we can save a large part of the population from a painful condition that paralyzes them.

It should be noted that autoimmune diseases include arthritis and joint pain which severely affect daily life. The body's own immune system only increases it.

Doctors recommend 2000 IU of vitamin D and 1000 mg of marine omega-3 fatty acids daily. But this is for people who are experiencing early symptoms of this condition and are above 45 years of age.

More than 25 thousand women and men participated in this research. Thousands of people were divided into two groups, one of which was given a dummy drug.

But previously the status and severity of autoimmune disease in all participants were also noted. Among them, those who used the supplement were largely free of joint pain.

According to scientists, vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids also prevent heart diseases, internal inflammation, and stroke.
